KEEPING YOUR CHURCH OUT OF COURT

v. TAXES AND GOVERNMENTAL COMPLIANCE

E. SECRETARY OF STATE REPORT

If a church is incorporated under the Louisiana Non-Profit Corporation Act, it must file an Annual Report by May 75 of each year. The report is provided by the Secretary of State, listing its name, state of incorporation, registered office address, registered agent, and names of its directors and officers. Failure to file this report could result in the corporation forfeiting its rights to conduct business or affairs in the state of Louisiana, and being involuntarily dissolved by the state.
